Flashlight test

This is a new idea I am testing. Just move your mouse over the screen, and it acts like a flashlight. I am still making adjustments. I am making a sniper game out of this. How this is done is that there are four sprites with the corner taken out of them. they are then tlod to go to the mouse then to a special position. it also reqiures a border so you dont see the end of the sprites. check out flashlight test two for an easier way to do this.

Flashlight test 2

This is a different way of doing a flashlight. There is a black background, then a black sprite on top of it. You make a white circle, then put the circle behind the the black sprite, then when you go over the black sprite with the white one, it looks like you are using a flashlight. This method works better than my other method (flashlight test) because you can't see the lines in between the four sprites that make the flashlight, and you don't need a border.

Big sprite flashlight

Yet another flashlight that follows the mouse. Just click to turn it on. This one has a hole that lets you see the background, so it allows color! It uses an oversize sprite to make a one-sprite flashlight. This only works when downloaded, as it exploits a bug in the Squeak scratch player that allows oversize sprites. The Java scratch player scales the oversize sprites down until they fit on the stage, ruining the project.

Based on Jens' flashlight project. Move the mouse to move the searchlight, and click to shoot the killer spiders. Stop the spiders from escaping into the world Gun sounds from GameMaker. Also, the inmates escape prison when they touch the black line

Where the white sprite is behind the writing, the writing can be read. Hiding the white sprite makes the writing disappear against the black background. Click and hold to turn on the flashlight.
