Go to my profile (or click below) for the continuation of this story. This is the first part a longer game. The plot and game design for the other levels are already done, and Chapter 2 is also online. Click Love it! if you Love it! CREDITS- All game design, programming, story work and art work were done by Iron_Man. All of the visuals in this project were made from scratch for this specific game. Everyone is welcome to use parts of this game in their own programs, however, if you use parts, please give credit. Music is by Free Radical, from their game Timesplitters 2. Special thanks to Archmage for his excellent work on side-scrolling in Scratch. Without being able to study his earlier projects, I may have never figured out side-scrolling. Special thanks to Dan for all of his help in testing and trouble-shooting the game. Special thanks to Wodunne for his support and advice.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Iron_Man/216323_sm.png MSA split-screen mode http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/glough_guy/169448 another videogame. i made this today (may 21, 2008) and it is complex
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/glough_guy/169448_sm.png Bubble attack http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/the_guardian/130518 Help the spider avoid the bubbles, or shoot them. If he gets caught with no webs, the game is over. Use the arrow keys to move and space bar to shoot. M - turns off the music. P - pauses the game.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/the_guardian/130518_sm.png your weight on other planets http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tycoon32/98703 Enter your weight and then click next and it will tell you your weight on other planets, the moon and sun. THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN WEIGHT AND MASS- Weight and mass are two very differsnt things. But, before we can get to that, I need to explain what gravity is. Gravity is the pulling force between objects. If an object is bigger is has a stronger gravotational pull. If it is lighter, it has a weaker pull. So, knowing that, since some planets are bigger than others, they have a stronger pull. So if you went to Jupiter for example, (even though you really couldn't)you wouldn't be fatter because your mass wouldn't get bigger, you would just be heavier, because Jupiter has a stronger gravotational pull on you than Earth dose.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/tycoon32/98703_sm.png tudly rpg http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/stevii/135152
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/stevii/135152_sm.png Mario Scroller Adventure http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Zelda123/129066 Mario Scroller Adventure Version 1.5 Level 2 is done. Full game is almost done. Added coins to levels 1 and 2. Tell me how many coins you get in the end and if you won. After a long time of creating the perfect sensoring system, I found a suitable solution. Download it to see how little sensors were used. Arrow keys to move. Up arrow to jump. Mario also has the ability to wall-jump. Feel free to post any suggestions or glitches you find. -Made by Zelda123
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Zelda123/129066_sm.png minesweeper http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bigB/56015 My attempt at making minesweeper with scratch. Select the number of mines you want to have on the slider and then click the green flag. Click on squares to reveal how many mines are next to that sqaure. Try to flag the mines by holding space and clicking. You have limited flags. Only click on a square when it tells you it is 'ready'. Goodluck and Have Fun
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/56015_sm.png Block Buster http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bigB/23423 This was made just to see if I could manage it but it turned out to be one of the hardest projects I have done. Click on one of the coloured blocks at the side for it to slide along. (it will only slide if there is one in its row) Try to get groups of 3 or more of a colour next to each other. If you are stuck use space to shuffle (it will cost 10 points) It can take some time to see if any need removing so please wait until it says ready.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/23423_sm.png 2 Player Quidditch http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bigB/105703 Player 1 uses the WASD keys and Q to throw the ball. Player 2 uses the arrow keys and down to throw. Try to score through the opposite goal for 10 points. You can tackle your opponent by flying through them. Everynow and again you may see the snitch. Catch it for 100points, (it doesnt end game.) Watch out for the bludgers which will go for you if you go too close. If you enjoy it dont forget to click 'i love it'
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/bigB/105703_sm.png Requiem of Thunder DEMO 2 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/121187 Here is the link to the .EXE version: WWW.REQUIEMOFTHUNDER.TK Works best when downloaded in Presentation mode. UPDATE: Boss 2 now works perfectly, and the game is fully commented. This is my latest project, Requiem of Thunder. Requiem of Thunder is a vertically scrolling space shooter which at the moment has no story, but will in the future. This demo contains the first 2 levels, with bosses, Use the arrow keys to move and press Space to shoot. You can shoot up to 10 bullets at once. I think that this is my best project yet, and is also one of my more complicated ones.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/121187_sm.png Cosmonaut http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Oldschooler2/120143 If you love it do not forget to click the loveit button! Download for way better quality and speed. Ah...a space style shooting scroller game. Odd yes, but original (I guess)? The music is Chemical Plant from Sonic 2 (I thought it would sound well with the game). You are on an expedition to Mars from Earth in taking a little trip through Mars. Move with the left and right arrow keys, click to shoot (not really used in this game but it still looks cool IMO) and hover with your jet-pack with the up arrow key. Be forewarned: do not sqaunder you fuel; if it hits zero and you fall to far down, game over! And no, those fuel boxes are not real. They are decoys; fakes, if you will. That just makes the game more challenging. All sprites (except the front screen) were made by Oldschooler2, all programming done by Oldschooler2 (influenced by archmage's perfect sidescrolling engine v 2.0). Oh yeah, a cosmonaut is an astronaut, usually referring to Russians who travel into space. Update: fixed fuel and jumping. Oldschooler2 Productions
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/120143_sm.png Sonic CD Advanced http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Oldschooler2/115227 Controls: Left and right arrow keys: move space bar: jump down arrow key, then space bar: dash If you love it don't forget to click the loveit button! This took about 15 hours of work. Somewhat glitchy, but otherwise fully playable. Honestly, this really IS NOT A TRUE REMAKE OF SONIC CD, it would take too much time to add the time zones and levels. In my opionion, an adequate simulation of a Sonic the hedgehog game, play as Sonic as you run through Robotnik's Run, a crazy air base set up in the clouds. This does not have crazy loop-D-loops or lots of rings or even a score and time. Frankly, I wanted this to be less fast paced and more thinking ahead about your moves. :) Slope detection works pretty good, as with gravity and velocity scrolling. The boss is a surprise... he's a robot Robotnik built. To beat him: just press space and make sure you are ABOVE HIM or he won't get hurt. Like almost all Sonic games, you gotta hit him 8 times before he is annihilated. You have 3 lives. You get more lives if you get the rings at the beginning. I left some of the sprite sheets inside if you download, use them if you want. Please say you got them from www.spriters-resource.com; that's where I got all the sprites for this game. Good Luck. Oldschooler2 Productions
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Oldschooler2/115227_sm.png Tech Paint http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/73723 Make perfect circles, lines and ellipses! Tech Paint is designed for doing more technical drawings involving straight lines and circles. Hold the mouse over the different tool icons for a few seconds and the Tooltips will give you help on the tool. The tooltips are probably the best feature of this project. Use Chain and Repeat to make a lot of lines (or other shapes) connected together. The project starts up with Chain on, click on the yellow highlighted icon that looks like a vertical chain to turn it off. Use the X,Y, A displays to get the distance and angle to the set point while constructing lines and other shapes. Text is done by stamping so there is no choice of font or color, sorry. Thanks to Dov for the crosshair idea, it really makes lining things up easier.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Paddle2See/73723_sm.png Ricochet Mini-Golf http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/82463 A tough 9-hole Mini-Golf course with hills, slanted walls, bouncing posts and more! To swing at the ball, click on the ball and drag in the direction you want to go. You will see a power bar at the ball, don't let it get into the red or your stroke will not happen. Keys: ==== Up Arrow/Down Arrow - Next/Previous Hole Spacebar - Start current hole over at the tee 1-9 keys - Jump to hole # 1 through 9 C key - Cheat, takes you right to the hole S key - Toggle wall bounce sound (currently off by default as it slows down the web version) This mini-golf uses the bouncing techniques from kevin_and_abe's School Pinball project which allows bouncing off of slanted walls and round surfaces. I got the sound effects and inspiration from music_man's Mini Golf V0.2 project. Thanks again to MyRedNeptune and JSO for some of the graphics.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Paddle2See/82463_sm.png
