Any groups of 3 or more in a row of the same color will disappear, and the marbles will fall, possibly creating more groups. the more balls that disappear in one turn, the higher your multiplier will go. When the timer runs out, the game is over Cool techniques used: - Each ball dynamically sets its position on "Initialize", so that if I change the ball sprite, I only have to copy it 35 times, and they realign themselves. - row and column checkers perform their operations by checking if they touch 3 of the same color, then stampthemselves. When they are done, "doneChecking" is broadcast, and all balls go through their disappear routine if they are touching the stamped color. - The timer Things I would like to add/fix: - Better sounds - multipliers for groups of 4 and 5, and for more than one group on the same turn. - The timer image should blend better - give the balls a better 3D look. But anyway, I hope you enjoy!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/mdusoe/21506_sm.png Passcode Generator http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/25887 This program generates a random passcode using an algorithm (described below). You can test if a passcode is valid by using the number input. To use the number input, click on a number box, then press the up or down keys until it says the number you want. After you have the number input ready with the passcode you want, click the Test Passcode button to test if the passcode is valid. Here is the algorithm. We will refer to the third, fourth, and fifth numbers as a, b, and c, and the first two numbers as x (they are really read as one single number). x = (a*b) + c Basically, the testing algorithm finds out x, a, b, and c from the passcode, and tests if the algorithm is true. If it is, it's valid; if not, it's invalid.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/25887_sm.png Live Free or Press the Button http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/25797 The latest installment in the Press the Button series is here, and this one is revolutionary! Instead of just pressing a button, there is a plot! Terrorists have planted nukes in major cities around the country, and the only way to stop the nukes is to press the right button on a deactivator you stole from their warehouse. If you press the wrong button, all of the nukes explode! There are 3 buttons, and the right one is randomized each time you play so the same excitement will happen each time! Have fun pressing buttons!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/25797_sm.png The Worst Project Ever http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/25618 Inspired by mariotornado's comment on my Graham's Cookie project.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/25618_sm.png Press the Button http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/19728 Press the button and get ready for the great surprise!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/19728_sm.png Super Mario Bros. Scratched VERSION 2.0 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/20502 UPDATE: Fixed a glitch that made Goombas not go away when they die. Okay, a few changes in this new version. First, I've added lava to the castles. Second, Bowser can now shoot fire, making him harder to beat. This is my Mario game developed in Scratch. It's the best Mario game I've seen so far in Scratch, and uses an area system to overcome the one-screen limitations of Scratch. This also allows me to reuse sprites over and over again. In this game, you go through a series of screens to get to Bowser and defeat him. There are 8 screens, making it a fairly long game (for Scratch). You can jump on Goombas to kill them, but if you get hit from the sides you die. You can't kill Piranha Plants, and there's only one special way to kill Bowser (people who played the original SMB1 should know it).
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/20502_sm.png WinScratch Version 1.0 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/25203 If you love this, don't forget to click the LoveIt button! This is a basic clone of Windows in Scratch. I call it WinScratch. So far it features three programs; Notepad, Pong, and Media Player. It can also shut down.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/25203_sm.png Press the Button 3 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/25013 Don't forget to click the LoveIt button! The highly anticipated third project in the Press the Button series is here! The magical button returns with a vengeance. Watch out for the fourth project in the series, which will be named Live Free or Press the Button, starring Scratchy Willis! Even more excitement will be added!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/25013_sm.png Duck Hunt http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/23258 If you love it, don't forget to click the LoveIt button! =P This is a remake of the classic video game Duck Hunt for the NES. Move the crosshair using the mouse and click it. You have to shoot the ducks, but if you miss 3 times the duck will run away. As the game goes on, the ducks get faster and more unpredictable. To advance to the next round, you must shoot at least 6 ducks. The main problem with making this program was the layer issues. I've gotten the layers to be the right way most of the time, but occasionally the duck indicator sprites get buried behind the SHOT sprite and (very rarely) the dog appears in front of the grass instead of behind. This program is my most complicated one yet, with a total of 136 scripts. This is because I abuse the broadcast system. NOTE: The Game Over is glitchy online for some reason, but not offline. Oh well. It doesn't matter if you just stop the program when the Game Over animation pops up.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/23258_sm.png Dogfight 3D http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/S65/22439 If you love it, don't forget to click the LoveIt button! UPDATE: Okay, all the dozen or so bugs online are fixed, it works perfectly online now. Really. This is a psuedo-3D rail shooter in which you fight your way through enemy forces in your fighter plane. When you get deep enough into enemy territory, the leader of the enemy forces will confront you in his ship, which is much more powerful than a normal ship. You must defeat him! I think this is my best game yet.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/S65/22439_sm.png
