The aliens are attacking. Save us! The game is nearly finished. I try to add an Intro and additional levels and enemies. You can load a previous game without loosing the statistics, items and the progress of the game. ------------------------------------------------------PRESS LOVE IT------------------- if you love it--------------------------------------------------Die Erde ist in Gefahr! Die Aliens greifen an. Rette uns!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/fabi85/239871_sm.png Turbulence http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/VisibleMan/239957 Fly through space, dodging enemy ships and getting speed boosts from rings! Well, this my second project in scratch (first shared one, though) and I'm surprised how much fun it is to work with. I wish I didn't need sleep so I could work on this some more :P Heh, I just noticed I misspelt the title of the game :P This is version 2.0, I plan on adding a booster for quick movement changes, scores, health packs, and more enemy types in the next versions. Enjoy :D Controls: Use the arrow keys to maneuver P to Pause Credits: Jet sprite from Afterburner 2 Music is "4000 Degrees Kelvin" from Portal Special Thanks to kirupa.com for theory Another Special Thanks to the Scratch development team (Note: I don't know how well this will run online, but if you have any problems, try downloading it)
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/VisibleMan/239957_sm.png Guardian 3D http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/the_guardian/169865 ZOOM in on the action and battle 3D rendered space ships. Pritty much the only things that you need to know is that the pause play button puases and continues the game and that you use the right and left arrow keys the acellerate/decellerate and the up and down arrows influence you board's angle. To buy up grades, click on the buy button. If you want to know riughly how fast you are going, look at the big spedomiter. Your boards remaining strangth is disrplayed below that. If your board's strangth reaches 0 then it will fracture and you will need to pay 200 metal repair it. Oh yes, you collect metal by finding it on the mountain. If you find any glitches please tell me. Give suggestions on how I can improve this. (I fixed some of the glitches but ore arose...) All sprites and scripts where made by NXTGeek(me) Sounds are courtasy of Lucas arts. Music and more extensive sound effect coming soon.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/NXTGeek/208383_sm.png Scratchoids http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/180740 Shoot the asteroids before they crush your ship! Controls: Left/Right Arrows - Turn ship Up Arrow - Thrust Down Arrow - Shoot Space - Warp When your ship first appears on the screen (and every time you get a new ship), it is surrounded by a shield (blue circle). The shield lasts 3 seconds and during that time you can not be hurt by rocks, nor can you shoot. Use the 3 seconds to move the ship to a safe area of the screen. Artistic Comments: I spent a LOT of quarters on the original Asteroids arcade game back in the Jurassic Period ('80s) I wanted to preserve the feel of the arcade version so I kept the graphics pretty minimal. I did take some liberties with the colors, however. Technical Comments: I had the most trouble coming up with a scheme to deal with the rocks splitting into smaller rocks without getting too complicated. I finally developed a 'Rock Recylcling System' that allows any rock to play any of the rock roles (Big/Medium/Small). The Stage requests a given rock size at a desired location (using global variables). Any rock that is not currently busy can respond to the request and assume the proper role. This keeps the sprite count low which helps performance. If you want more rocks (and your computer can handle it), just make more rock copies. Acknowlegements: Thanks to The_Guardian for the neat score display widget. Thanks to Fullmoon for the nifty MIDI frontloader widget. Thanks to Cyclone103 for suggesting the Warp feature, it adds a lot! Thanks also to all the other people who previously took a whack at Asteroids, I got inspiration and some sound effects from you!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Paddle2See/180740_sm.png k-9 who 4 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/pappy-rick/162516 part 4 of k-9 ... Avoid the meteors. It's as simple as that. The coins can drop anywhere on the world so you need to move around a lot and find them before they hit the ground. If 5 coins hit the ground, the game is over. Controls: Left/Right Arrows to move Green Flag to start over Nothing particularly revolutionary here. I just liked the way the buggy moved. The buggy is made up of two coupled sprites. The angle of the vehicle is set by the heights of the individual sensor sprites. The logic that keeps the buggy on the surface has increasing adjustments. The longer the buggy is in an incorrect state (in the air or under ground), the bigger the correction gets (up to a limit). This approach gives pretty good performance as you can see. The scrolling is a simplified version of the one I used in my Privateer project and is a mixture of Archmage's technique, the technique used in Capital and who knows what else. I was inspired to make this after viewing 04lukeb's marvelous Mountain Bike Madness game.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Paddle2See/171502_sm.png playground FUN http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/pappy-rick/72000 Press space . sorry my sound isn't working
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/pappy-rick/72000_sm.png + docking bay http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/pappy-rick/57222 press green flag. This is a little more added on to Starship.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/pappy-rick/57222_sm.png K-9 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/pappy-rick/136194 press space to watch!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/pappy-rick/136194_sm.png Taxi 2040 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/BeachDroid/95733 Use the arrow keys to maneuver your Taxi. As time passed, more and more wars broke out, eventually leading to the use of an extreamly deadly biological wepon. Once the wepon had been released into the atmosphere, only the small group of humans on earth that discovered this conspiricy survived. Seeing this as an exellent opertunity to gain emmense money and power, the general of the newly esablished martian colony invaded, seeking to subdue the survivors or kill them if they did not comply. Being unaware of the protection neccesary to survive, the general's first battalian of troops instantly parished after being exposed to the toxin. After grueling hours of labor and research, protective suits, like that of the earth survivors, where developed. However, this long period of research allowed the survivors to develop wepons and defenses. As the survivor's most highly trained commando, you must defend again these vile invaders who seek to destroy peace and liberty. P.S. C Key clears the battlefield of debris but there is also an auto clear which cleans things up before you start and when you advance an entire rank.
