A game available at www.widro.com/throwpaper.html. I really enjoyed playing it and wanted to try to add some fun elements to an already great game. Thanks also to Paul (my dad) for his awesome consulting work! The idea is simple. Press space when the arrow is pointing in the proper direction to couteract the fan speed. Simple...and, hopefully, addictive. Enjoy! -Cousin Avi
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/CousinAvi/125389_sm.png Mason Cup Racing http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/CousinAvi/121619 Ok, ok, ok. There is not much of a connection between the actual game and the name of the game (Mason is the name of my dog). Anyway. This is a simple racing game where you have to finish the race faster than a set time. I hope you enjoy it. -Cousin Avi
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/CousinAvi/121619_sm.png Qix Tribute http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/CousinAvi/33114 8 levels of Qix madness! I hope you enjoy this game. I spent many rolls of quarters on the arcade game as a child so I wanted to try and emulate it in an attempt to better myself at scratch programming. I spent a lot of time to make it polished and smooth. VERY RARELY it will freeze up but I can't figure out why. I also spent a lot of time on the boss movement scripts. There are quite a number of variables that can make a boss easier or harder. I play tested for a long time and feel that the difficulty curve is fair. The final two bosses are HARD...but should be. Feel free to download and play with the variables to make the game more to your liking. I hope you meet the Happy Hippo! -Cousin Avi
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/CousinAvi/33114_sm.png Save the beachball http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/CousinAvi/31360 My first attempt at a game. I hope you enjoy the challenge.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/CousinAvi/31360_sm.png Parachuter http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/CousinAvi/55315 Another tribue to a classic game. This is the original tower defence! Keep your cannon alive by taking out the choppers and parachuters. Don't let more than three parachuters land on either side of your cannon or it's lights out. Use A, S, and D, to fire bullets. A is a fast but weak shot. S is slower but more powerful, and D is the slowest but most powerful. Left and right keys move your cannon back and forth. The level goes up every thirty seconds and the parachuters will drop faster as levels progress. I will adjust variables and gameplay based upon feedback. Let me know if you enjoyed it. -Cousin Avi
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/CousinAvi/55315_sm.png Cave Mapper http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/CousinAvi/122300 Cave Mapper is based on an old Tandy 1000 game I had as a kid. I tried my best to find an actual copy but, alas, could not. This is done to the best of my pitiful memory. Help Jim the Cave Mapper in his quest to create a database of unexplored caves! Use the up, right, and left arrows to move Jim around the cave. If he maps more than 90%, he will move on to the next cave. Watch out for the poisonous arrows! Enjoy! -Cousin Avi
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/CousinAvi/122300_sm.png Wandering knight - ONLY LOADS WHEN DOWNLOADED http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Mayhem/28484 Isometric animated knight sprites and scenery from: http://reinerstileset.4players.de/englisch.htm Click on the screen - the knight walks to the cursor. Press space - the knight stops and attacks. Click on a green arrow - the knight walks to it then the scene changes to show the new area in that direction. The scenery is in two parts - backgrounds on the stage, and one sprite. The sprite is used for anything that cannot be walked through, such as buildings or rivers. The background and scenery sprite change costume according to a number based on a 10 by 10 grid. EG when on row 1 and in column 7, both switch to costume 17. Rows are numbered 0-9 from top to bottom, columns are numbered 1-10 left to right.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Mayhem/28484_sm.png Ricochet Mini-Golf http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/82463 A tough 9-hole Mini-Golf course with hills, slanted walls, bouncing posts and more! To swing at the ball, click on the ball and drag in the direction you want to go. You will see a power bar at the ball, don't let it get into the red or your stroke will not happen. Keys: ==== Up Arrow/Down Arrow - Next/Previous Hole Spacebar - Start current hole over at the tee 1-9 keys - Jump to hole # 1 through 9 C key - Cheat, takes you right to the hole S key - Toggle wall bounce sound (currently off by default as it slows down the web version) This mini-golf uses the bouncing techniques from kevin_and_abe's School Pinball project which allows bouncing off of slanted walls and round surfaces. I got the sound effects and inspiration from music_man's Mini Golf V0.2 project. Thanks again to MyRedNeptune and JSO for some of the graphics.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Paddle2See/82463_sm.png The Star Wars Droid Army 2.1 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/mobbyfett396/83092 To move use left & right arrow keys, to use the force press "B" on and your space bar does a basic light saber slash. Up arrow key jumps. Battle Droids have one life each, Super Battle Droids each have two, the Wheel Droid has three and you have ten (as seen next to the light saber). New feature: I have Music! click on the note with the red slash over it to play "Duel of the fates" from The Phantom Menace. This is very important! Listen to the sounds around you, for instance, when you are hit and you are not blocking you hear a sound like an older gentlemen tooting and if you are blocking there is a pshaw! sound. A very large thanks to axeblade for creating this to begin with.
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/mobbyfett396/83092_sm.png Son of String Art http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/89023 Look! Pretty patterns! This project uses the pen to make String Art between the blue dots that you can drag around the screen. I've built a bunch of pre-made shapes you can generate from the buttons at the top of the screen, just to show you some of the possibilites or to give you a starting point. Experiment with different numbers for the Division slider. The number of points being displayed can be changed with the Points slider. The Spacebar will switch you quickly to 1 division (just a simple poly-line) to speed up making changes to the points. Pressing it again will return the divisions to the original value. Have Fun!
http://scratch.mit.edu/static/projects/Paddle2See/89023_sm.png
