I love Deltora's Quest! I've only read the books; I actually was unaware that there was even a video game (I'll have to check that out now ). I really like the world, and the symbolism of the gemstones is pretty cool. One of favourite characters is probably Steven the merchant, just because he's such a unique character.

Indeed Steven is quite unique he's one of my favorites but I think my favorite character is either Doom or Barda. The video game is a ds game from Japan and they only have it in Japanese but you can have English subtitles.

Doom is not at all how I imagined him in the show. But the show was pretty good despite changing just about everything.

Haven't read the books yet. (Although I have read Secrets of Deltora.) I'm getting around to it. I've also seen some episodes of the show.

Definitely do read it all three series if you can they are great.

Yeah I would think so since the author is Australian.

I've read all the books up to the end of Deltora Shadowlands. I have yet to read the other one, though.

Well make sure you do it's really good. The first series is my favorite but the last one is next in line.

I really like Deltora Quest. :3 It's exciting and scary, yet it's perfectly interesting and mind-wheezing. Not too mature for my immature self (for my age) and not too kiddy. Full of riddles.

Is anyone else here a Deltora Quest fan? Does anyone else here have a crush on Dain (until Return to Del) or believed that Jasmine is the heir? I have the complete Deltora Quest series, and now I'm saving to buy the Deltora Shadowlands sequel series!

And Steven IS unique. I always laughed when I read his Ol-ios songs. But my favorite character is.. Can't decide. They're all awesome! I really liked Manus, Barda, Jasmine, Prin, Lief, Sharn, Steven.. The list shall go forever!
My favorite tribe is definitely the Ralad.

I too fell for Jasmin being the heir but I wasn't at all surprised to find that it was Leif. I have read all the books and seen all of the show but never played the board game or ds game. I have also recently learned that they have comic books as well.

I actually have the 8 in one book and the 3 in one book for the first two series. I also have all four of the separate ones in the Deltora Dragons series. Hope you enjoy reading them.

I've read all the books and I've watched some episodes of the show and I love it (as evident by my old signature)!

I'm so happy to have found this forum, and in MIT too! I've never met anyone, no matter how big a book nerd they were, who had read and loved Deltora Quest as much as I did. They were my favorite books when I was younger, right after Harry Potter, and I only got around to reading the Shadowlands last year since my library back in my elementary school days only had the first and third series. I can't believe how poorly it's known in the US - the quality of the writing, the maturity of the plot and the characters…

I really hope someone else is active on this forum still, because I have years of unshared feelings about this series to pour out!

It's my favorite anime of all time (but I recommend skipping episode 17)
