Free Obsidian in minecraft(windows only)

How to
Step 1: If you have a nether folder back it up
Step 2: If you do no have a nether portal build one
Step 3: Go into the portal
Step 4: Dig up the four corners of the new portal in the nether
Step 5: Leave the nether
Step 6: Close minecraft
Step 7: Run resetNether.bat(see below)
Step 8: Open up minecraft
Step 9: Dig up four corners of portal
Step 10: Go into overworld
Step 11: Repeat 6-10 until you have enough obsidian
Step 12: When you are done If you have a backup restore it because this will delete everything you found in the nether

resetNether.bat:
Read all directions before starting
Download the file below
Run the file
Put in the name of the world`s save folder(make sure it has no spaces if it does rename the folder )
Copy the text into notepad and save it as resetNether.bat

Because for some reason Inventory editors do not work for me. But that is what I would do if I could use one.

Or you could even turn on cheats and use the /give command

I know another way, but you need redstone dust for it to work. (1 redstone dust = 1 obsidian)
EDIT: It also only requires one bucket of lava.

Or you could just delete DIM-1. Simple, no download, and works on all OSes.

The download deletes the DIM-1 in a really fast way.

Yes I did. It is actually not a generator it is a few simple lines of code which resets every thing you did in the nether by deleting it. Then minecraft generates it again with the same seed without getting rid of the items you already collected the items. The .bat file just tells minecraft to regenerate it.
