SHENMUE

Shenmue is a 1999 game about Ryo Hazuki who is trying to solve the murder of his father. The game includes elements of role-playing, life simulation and social simulation games, such as a day-and-night system, variable weather effects, non-player characters with daily schedules and interactive elements, such as vending machines, arcades and minigames. There was a follow up in 2002 called Shenmue 2 and Shenmue 3 in 2019. In 2022 a television anime called Shenmue the anime aired on adult swim.
