Requesting for Fairer Project Feature Time for 'What the Community is Loving'

One of my new projects, The Long Halt is on “What the Community is Loving”, but I learnt that on one half of the day, it's not on the front page, but on the second half, it is. However, when my project is on the front page (usually the afternoon to night for me in my time zone), it only appears during midnight or very early in the morning when most users are asleep in Eastern Standard time. Can the Scratch Team please make my project appear on ‘What the Community is Loving’ for both the day and night in Eastern Standard time while it lasts so that it's fairer? Thank you!

The Scratch Team will probably not do that just for your project.
Edit: Have you tried scrolling for your project?

I feel by next year we wont have the forums anymore, I'm not joking.
How did you find out about the Discussion Forums?
Try out LibreKitten, my TurboWarp mod.

This is Scratch, not Snap.
Is that the case though? Is it really? Or is it just a figment of your imagination? What if scratch never existed, and you’re just hallucinating? All of these people you’ve met, they might not be anything more than a figment of your imagination? And now that you know this, you have to ask yourself the question: is scratch real? Are you truly on an online platform named scratch? Or are you dreaming, seeing this so-called “programming for kids platform” in a completely different way from everybody else? How can you fully be sure you’re not hallucinating? How can you be so sure that there is a real thing called scratch?

I guess so, but there are projects that stay in both the day and night.

That's probably just luck.

Requesting for Fairer Project Feature Time for 'What the Community is Loving'

It makes sense that this happened since projects on the “What the Community is Loving” row are chosen automatically through an algorithm. Since your project made it on this row, it will probably stay for a few days, so you can still witness your project on the front page and respond to comments accordingly. (In that sense, your project already will be on the front page for both day and night, Eastern Time — it's just that the night is chosen first.)

As a result, I don't see this as much of an issue. I'm not aware of any instances where a project is only on the front page for one single night (Eastern Time) — if this happens, it's probably because other projects overtook that one in popularity, which is really more “unlucky” than “unfair.” I don't think the algorithm prioritizes any particular time zones, and that's probably a good thing, because if the Eastern Time zone were prioritized, then a bunch of Scratchers on the other half of the world would face the exact problem that you describe.

All you need to do is celebrate the fact that your project was front-paged in the first place, and enjoy it while it lasts.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

I was a Scratch Team member from May 10th 2019 to October 29th 2021.

Have you tried scrolling? The way What the Community is Loving is there are a set of projects on there for a certain time, but the project order gets shuffled every time you reload the page.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make. (Credits to ZaChary) My signature thankfully hasn't been eaten by an evil kumquat yet, so I hope it remains that way. My 100th post!! Be sure to follow after watching my animations!!
Please note that I may sometimes give out incorrect information.
Ever wondered why your project wasn't showing up in the search bar or on trending? Here is an explanation why: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p1zLeGoXLQ

I'm sorry, maybe I should apricate the fact that it's on What the Community is Loving, I've just forgotten about the algorithm and how it works since late 2021. I also have fears about how this would affect the community as well.

It's on the front page right now.
12:10pm Eastern Time, if I did the calculation right.

I see, but I would prefer to end this conversation now. Usually when I make forum posts like these ones, I usually feel guilty because every time I open my mouth, I put my foot in it.
