(I'll jump in on the conversation here )
Aw, ok, so here's the deal. I honestly don't think the prequel trilogy is /too/ bad. So yes, things here and there could've been done better, but I grew up watching both the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy, and I don't hate the prequels. I never understood why so many people hate them. I mean, come on, it's Natalie Portman! And she looks like (and is) the most kick butt character, throughout the movies. Granted, yes, I like the original trilogy better, but I never understood why so many people /hate/ the prequel trilogy.
Haha! I understand what you're saying for sure, but the prequels were…um…yeah…pretty bad. I watch them just cause they're Star Wars. They DEFINITELY could have done better. I don't despise them. But I don't like them. Why people hate them…well…ok, so first, the acting wasn't very good…at all. Ok, so maybe it was like Hayden Christensen's first movie or whatever, but he was just such a stalker…and some of his lines were just awful. Jar Jar…oh, man…certainly another reason why people don't like the prequels…he is just SO annoying And then there's Natalie Portman…in my opinion she could have saved the prequels…but once again (this is my opinion, so please don't get offended…I realllllly don't want to argue or get anyone upset ) she didn't. Natalie Portman is a pretty cool person, but I don't like her in Star Wars. Alright! I can't blame it all on the actors though. The script was written by George Lucas, and if the script had been better, maybe the acting would have been better and so on. I mean even Christopher Lee wasn't that good…but it's also because of the script. Anyways…that's all my speculation, but I think most people feel the same way.

-Favourite character(s): Han Solo, C-3PO, Jar Jar Binks (HA!)
-Favourite movie(s): Star Wars (first one made - episode IV)
-Favourite part(s) of the Force Awakens teaser trailer: “Chewie… we're home.”
-On a scale from 1-10, how excited are you for the Force Awakens?: 1,000,000
-If you had to choose between Yoda soda, or a Wookiee cookie, what would you choose? Yeah…that was random.: Yoda Soda! Where did you get those foods from? A Star Wars cookbook? WE HAVE THAT EXACT COOKBOOK AND WE MADE THE YODA SODA! IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

REALLY?!?! You have the cook book??? That's so AWESHUM!
It's ok, I totally understand. Everyone has a different opinion, so I'm not offended that you don't like the prequels. ^^

YES, I have the cookbook! My parents got it for us years ago because we became obsessed with Star Wars at a very young age! XD

(Boy we got all these quotes messed up somehow XD)

Has JJ ever done anything remotely “Star Wars-y”?
Star Wars is one part fantasy, two parts sci-fi, and all parts awesome and nerdy.
And if he messes up, a lot of people will be very disappointed.

The classics never go out of style. This is mainly due to the fact that they are already out of style, and have been for a while now, and thus can't “go out” of style. That said, the reason they're classics and not obscurities from the past is because they're good despite being “out of style”.

Listen. He's done Star Trek…so he has experience with space movies. Perhaps you don't like Star Trek but I think that the majority loved it.
Of course! More than a lot of people would be disappointed…but he won't mess it up. He's been a huge Star Wars fan ever since he saw A New Hope in theatres: when he was 11. Same deal as if I was directing Star Wars. As a HUMONGOUS fan, I wouldn't do things that I wouldn't like, or that the rest of the Star Wars community wouldn't like. Get it?

Wookieepedia - this is where I get most of my StarWars knowledge on the past/future lives of the main characters.
I think that the 7th StarWars won't be quite as good as the original trilogy, but maybe better than the prequels…

Lol, Wookieepedia is the greatest XD Yeah, I look up Star Wars stuff on there too, although not all of it is 100% accurate. I love the name
Well, we'll see, but yeah, probably not. Nothing's better than the OT Definitely better than the prequels though!

If there are any teleportation devices or time machines, or any similar devices seen in traditional sci-fi such as Star Trek, in Force Awakens, I will be seriously disappointed.
Maybe JJ won't mess up on purpose, but I don't think George Lucas and whoever else meant to make the prequels lame!

The Prequels were a lot better than the original trilogy. Revenge of the Sith was incredible and Attack of the Clones was great too. My only problem is was that they rushed the Clone Wars a bit.
Empire Strikes back was good, but Return of the Jedi was a bit of a joke. I mean, Ewoks, really? Teddy bears that threw rocks and sticks beat an entire Legion of the Empire's best soldiers. Though I did think that the Jabba's Sail Barge Fight was good.

Return of the Jedi is my favorite of the entire series (thus far), a little better than Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, which were significantly better than Phantom Menace, which was a little better than Empire Strikes Back, which was significantly better than A New Hope (IMO). The Clone Wars were a mix of good and bad (zombie Geonosians? Darth Maul not dead? Obi-Wan faking his own death?).

Yeah, then Clone Wars was not that good. They had Clones betraying the Republic.

I feel sorry for you. Not appreciating the original trilogy?!?!? WHAT? The prequels were awful in my opinion. Although I understand…because everyone has a different opinion. Everyone I know irl though, watches the prequels for laughs. No offense to some of the actors, but I just think that Hayden Christensen had no expression or “real” emotion. Natalie Portman wasn't even very good. I like Obi-Wan though. Also, no humor…at all. The original trilogy has lots, which is one of the reasons that makes it so good.
Empire is definitely one of my faves…pretty sure that Return of the Jedi is my favourite though! I thought it was AWESOME! I absolutely love Endor…and I honestly think that the Ewoks were an awesome idea. I know that there's a lot of…if you can even say controversy on them. But personally I like them. They lighten things up a bit and made people laugh. So maybe they are stupid…but they're just great.
Yeah, the Clone Wars is ok…i'm actually watching them right now XD Some of the episodes I found really weird though! I mean Ventrice's “tribe” people I found super out of the question weird etc.

Remember. These are all my opinions, and you have yours You can totally like the prequels more than the OT if you'd like. But i'm just gonna keep on loving the OT

I thought there was some humour, but it was appropriate whereas the Return of the Jedi was just a bit of a ‘YAY, random teddy bears can figh’ kind of humour. An awesome idea perhaps, but poorly executed. Imagine how much better Return of the Jedi would have been if they had Wookies instead of Ewoks. That would have been a good battle, and a believable one. In Revenge of the Sith, the Clone Army was a force to reckoned with whereas in the last episode, they were massacred by teddy bears.
