This would be very complex.

3D… You would need a 3D editor, a 3D coordinate system, and a way to switch between 3D and 2D. I think it would be too complex to create a 3D extension. I think it would be better to create a whole 3D project instead, and when you create a project it asks for a 3D or 2D system.
