Hey buddies! I`m Scrillrock, but you might saw this already… Nevermind, here i explain how i beat Scratch with my newest project -

Well, how the name says it`s a camera simulator XD

So let`s start with how the idea came to my mind.

How the idea came to my mind
Well, one day i was bored on the Scratch website and started searching a Camera Simulator project. And by the way,long time ago i knew how i can take pictures without scripting, and planned make a Cam Sim, but i then had more important projects, such as Minecraft Blocks. So after viewing many projects i saw some mistakes. Ok, i`m not a hater, but there were badly organised, too colorful, bad graphics, bad scripting, glithes etc. So i decided make it once for all.

And now the making.

The making of CamSim
So i started doing the sprites, in vector of course, scripted them,and adding some extras - Lighting effect and Info button.But when i finished, i though that a simple picture taking project won`t be so popular. Then i came up with the idea for effects. For first i made Red effect. Trough variables, it worked well, but after the addition of 4 more colors,only the yellow did.I was like “Why exactly the yellow?”, and tried, and tried, and tried many alternative ways and not succeed.Then i used one single list and it worked! Yay! Then i added more than only colors - Night Vision, Infrared, Sunglasses, Fire, Snowflakes and then went in Paint, made the thumbnail and shared the project.

Ok, here comes the interesting part.

The secret this topic is about
“Save picture of stage”. Was it so difficult? I personally don`t know any Scratcher that uses that feature, no matter making his or playing someone`s project.It`s still the only way taking pictures in the player screen.

And what i`ve planned for the future

What will maybe included to CamSim?
+Games! - I will necessarily add some games that make you move, like:
-MoveIt!
-Groundshake
-Mirror
+Fitness program!
+Costume Center!

And now I guess these scratchers, that have camera simulators will now update them and say “I invented it first!”.

So sad.

But by the way. it`s a good suggestion for the Scratch Team!

You know what? After i added these “Games” i plan something different…

when green flag clicked
remove (games) from (CamSim :: list)::operators
take (games) to (Backpack::list)::events
make new project::control
add (games) to the new project::control
name project [Fitness Simulator v]::looks

How do you find it?

Well, i`m closing this topic so soon, cause of my decision not to work on CamSim. Now i`m making a Fitness Simulator, which will contain the “Games” from CamSim and add new ones!
