- you can talk about adaptations, but this is a topic for talking about the books.
e.g something like “i think the (….) adaptation was really good but it wasn't very true to the books” is fine.
while trying to completely derail the topic by going on about benedict cumberpatch isn't allowed. (remind me not to go on about jeremy brett lol)

- respect people's headcanons. if you're gonna disagree, do it respectfully.

- seriously don't derail this topic by talking about bbc sherlock loads. actually don't derail it in general

- spoiler warnings aren't necessary but you can use them if you want

yess i totally agree with you on that one. really good and funny and very romantic when watson writes a whole page on how he's “often thought” about sherlock's personality
