Changes to Studio permissions released!
Greetings everyone! As we mentioned on an earlier thread, we've made some changes to the way studios work on Scratch based on feedback from Scratchers. The curators tab on studios now shows two different roles:
Managers:
Managers can add or remove projects, curators, and other managers. They can also change the studio name, description, and icon. However, only the original manager of the studio can delete the whole studio. The original manager cannot be removed by another manager.
Curators:
Curators can add projects to the studio. They can remove only the projects that they themselves have added to the studio. They can not add other curators.
These changes will give you more control over your studio. It's your responsibility to choose managers and curators that you trust. If someone asks to be made a manager of your studio, but you don't know them well, consider asking them to be curator for a few weeks before deciding whether to invite them to be a manager. If you make someone a manager and they make big changes (like deleting all the projects in the studio), that’s up to you and the rest of the managers of the studio to sort out. (Of course, the Scratch community guidelines still apply everywhere on Scratch.)
The lists of managers and curators for each studio will be displayed under the Curators tab.
As always, anyone can follow or comment on any studio.
Thanks to all the Scratchers who gave helpful and constructive feedback that led to this change! And please bear with us a bit while we work out the glitches.

Also is there an option to bump a manager down to a curator without deleting them and re adding them

Nope! Just have to remove them, and then re-add them as curator.

I can still delete any project I want, and I'm just a curator.
when this block is clicked::sensing hat//FYI, this is my old account that I no longer use. My current account is @DaSpudLord.If you are reading this… Then congratulations! You have found the part of my signature that was eaten by a kumquat! (On a side note, you are probably in a kumquat's stomach.) Now get out of the kumquat's stomach and go do something productive with your life. Like playing this game over and over again. Very productive.

So managers are basically curators, and curators are basically regular people at AE studios that can delete their own projects from the studios? Greetings everyone! How do you be a manager? Can you delete yourself? Is it possible for the answers be true?

Will there be another row on your profile for “Studios I manage”? I suggest that there isn't another row, but it would be nice if there was a label that went with each studio saying whether you're a manager or just a curator.
What I mean is like in the “Projects in Studios I'm Following” row on the front page, it shows the name of the studio in blue text and what studio it's in in grey text. So on your profile, it'd say the name of the studio that you curate in blue text and your manager/curator status in grey text underneath (with a possible link to the curators tab on the studio?).
