I'm interested in where they'll take this but usually for me spin-offs really aren't that great except for a few exceptions (e.g. The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron)

Why would this be so much worse than the originals?

I wouldn't consider Adventures of Jimmy Neutron a spinoff really?

Technically it is, it's a spin-off from the movie, which had come first.

Before like, 2022, I didn't even know this was a part of the Harry Potter franchise……. but then the trilogy turned out to be three of my favorite movies in the HP series.
Scamander and Kowalski may be my favorite characters in the HP series.
