Apple Event - September 10
Apple has sent out invites to a September 10th event (everybody look surprised. ). The iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and iOS 7 are rumored to be announced there. Thoughts?

Does the world really need another iPhone? I mean, people are so addicted to their phones that there have actually been suggestions to add phone addiction as a medical addiction. People are becoming so attached and so dependent on their smartphones. It's sad.
But, other than that, I'm not too surprised. I mean, as Apple rakes in the moolah from its latest ventures, it will continue to spit out more products. This is just my personal point of view, though.

I am rather opposed to this. It seems a bit like that would semi-legitimize over-usage of phones. (i.e. “I have an addiction, I can't help it”) there have actually been suggestions to add phone addiction as a medical addiction

But saying that “you can't help it” isn't an excuse, either. If it's impeding your ability to drive, interact with people, pay attention to your surroundings, etc, you should stop playing Temple Run and get help. The amount of adults I've heard complaining about kids who have their face pressed against their smartphone 24/7 is overwhelming. And it's not just kids, either. Adults themselves are doing this. It's downright scary.I am rather opposed to this. It seems a bit like that would semi-legitimize over-usage of phones. In 2018, I asked the Scratch Team to remove all my forum posts to protect my privacy. That's why this post is blank. Besides, I've outgrown this website, and I don't want the dumb things I said in my late tween/early teen years to follow me around for the rest of my life. This post probably wasn't anything interesting or important, anyway.

@Zaneki This might lead to some flaming. Let's just agree to disagree.

Yup. It's really a matter of opinion. Apple isn't the enemy here, it's just the abuse of its equipment. @Zaneki This might lead to some flaming. Let's just agree to disagree.

iOS 7 are rumored to be announced there. Thoughts?iOS 7 was already announced. Apple has sent out invites to a September 10th event (everybody look surprised. ). The iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and
I think the 5S and 5C look cool.
Also, some sort of apple watch may be announced also, although we might see what they did last year and do a later (october) event for that.

While iOS 7 seems great, the bright colors on it make me want to vomit.

That should go on the Weird YouTube Videos thread.I just got that joke. 5C? iOS 7? 5S?
But some people would say it's this.
(Actually, that would be the Flash vs. HTML5, smartphone vs. console, and flat design vs. skeumorphism debates.)

Of course iPhones will continue to be released, as will all other technology. Unless we want to go “techno-amish” and decide that 2013 is the year that technological progress ends, there will remain an annual release of cell phones. Processors will be made faster and more efficient, RAM and SSD will grow, resolutions will increase, and cameras will gain megapixels. And to say that everything is Apple's fault is just not accurately considering that Samsung, LG, Nokia, and HTC all push out yearly phones, with Android having a higher market share than iOS.
As for my opinions:
5S: expected. Happens every year, no real surprises at all. It'll be another marginal update that isn't very important that will get hyped up because the tech world kisses the ground Apple walks on.
iOS 7: Expected again. I'm looking more interested in this than the iPhone mostly because I have no intention of buying an iPhone. I like the changes, but it's still not as versatile as Android and likely never sill be.
5C: Hopefully a total disaster on par with the Microsoft Surface RT. The iPhone follows a simple ricing scheme. This year's model is $200 on contract. Last year's is $100. Two years is free. I understand Apple likes to be good to its developers and accessory makers and they can eliminate a screen size and outdated connector by replacing the 4S with the 5C, but all the developers already are used to the system as it is and to ask them to wait one more year isn't really asking anything, it's just following the same protocol as has existed since the launch of the original iPhone. Next release the smaller screen will be completely out of their current product lines. It's easy easy to explain leaving the 4S on sale as “that's how it has always been.” It's difficult to explain why you made a product for one year then killed it. Basically with its outdated guts and cheap-seeming build, it's difficult to believe that people would jump for that option instead of $100 for the iPhone 5.

Meh, I'm quite indifferent to whatever Apple dishes out as of yet. I personally am not a big fan of the iPhone but it doesn't matter to me all that much.

You would cry if you knew how many people I see every day who are talking/texting on their phone wile driving. I can't stand that. It doesn't make me feel very safe when I'm in the car going somewhere. But saying that “you can't help it” isn't an excuse, either.
