Scratch Wiki in Other Languages

On the wiki (specifically DACH-Scratch Wiki) we are interested in setting up wikis in other languages. If you are interested in helping with translations and setting up the wiki, please post below with what language(s) you speak and why you want to help. Our DACH-Scratch Wiki Team will gladly help you get started on the right foot.

Requirements:
*Must speak English and at least one other language (language must be real)
*Must be able to translate well in their other language(s)
Preferred:
*Have some experience with Mediawiki and wikis (so you know how to edit, we can teach you if need be)
*Know lots about Scratch (so instead of plagiarism we have originality)

Current Stats
Spanish (2-3 users needed)
technoboy10
lorquia
armique (maybe)
French (2-3 users needed)
macadam
Hardmath123 (maybe)
Simplified Chinese (3 users needed)
CyberixSagaStudios
Indonesian (3 users needed)
Rumanti

Please contact Martin Wollenweber at info(at)scratch-dach(dot)info with the usernames of 4 or more users who are interested in helping to create a wiki in your native language.

Please no Google Translate! You must really know how to speak English and the other language(s)! Google Translate can only be used for only a few words if needed.

Anyone who speaks other languages, if you could translate this text and post it below that would be nice.

If you want to set up a Spanish wiki, I know Spanish somewhat well (might need google translate for individual words, though). I've been on Scratch for 6 years, and I've been an editor on the Scratch wiki for a year(?).

I wish Scratch would let us make a Chinese site & wiki. I think that since China has like, 1B people, there's a lot of growth awaiting Scratch in China.

I'm in. I am able to translate English-Chinese and Chinese-English. However, I can only type Simplified Chinese, but it's easy to convert it to Traditional if you want to. I *may* need to use Google Translate for some more complicated words, though.

Written Languages (best to worst)
1. English
2. Simplified Chinese

Spoken Languages (best to worst)
1. English
2. Cantonese
3. Mandarin

Our DACH-Scratch-Wiki-Team is willing to help you with your native wiki
Have a look at International Scratch-Wikis in native languages: World Wide Wikis.

If you are a group of >4 very interested Scratchers of your native language, we would like to help you starting with our experiences and ressources: Please write us to: info(ät)scratch-dach(dot)info.

By the way: It could be that Scratch and BYOB/Snap! are actually (as of August 2013) represented much better in the German Wikipedia than in the English one? (see here). Who of you wants to change that? Who of you wants to start with Spanish or a French Scratch-Wiki, and, after it has grown to an established and trustful source of knowledge about Scratch, use them as perfect references for Wikipedia articles in those languages? Possibilities are fantastic: You only have to make a start!

Why is this in Advanced Topics? Why not in Translating Scratch? You'll get a better audience there.

Wikis are 100% written, so we'd prefer if you only helped with the languages you write in best.

I think it would be best to have native speakers (or really fluent) for the non-english Wikis that speak english as a second language…

The OP is inactive, but ErnieParke has an up-to-date topic on the Translating Scratch forum I wonder why this is in the AT's, though.. I thought the ST closed it gazillion years ago - on the Translating Scratch forum.
