N64 and GameCube Games
I started gaming right around the end of the N64's lifespan and at the arrival of the GameCube. Discuss the awesome games found on the systems that many call Nintendo's best.

Metroid Prime. If someone was new, but was used to the dual stick shooters we see today, the controls would be confusing to them.

Very true. I played a match against my friend (who is obsessed with COD) and he couldn't get used to them Metroid Prime. If someone was new, but was used to the dual stick shooters we see today, the controls would be confusing to them.

Does anyone else like Super Smash Bros. Melee's fighting engine better than Brawl's?

Why have a topic on both consoles? They're completely different.

I liked Brawl's customizable controls. I can never get used to the defaults, and that is why I don't like playing Melee with my friend most of the time. I like how in Brawl you can throw players into one another. Does anyone else like Super Smash Bros. Melee's fighting engine better than Brawl's?

It's not about the consoles themselves, it's about the games on the consoles. Not like I'm trying to compare them or anything (that wouldn't make any sense). I picked these games and consoles because they have a special place in my gaming mind, one that inspires me since I have so many memories from them. Why have a topic on both consoles? They're completely different.

Ya throwing players into each other or being able to collide with them in mid-air to slow your flight is fun. I can't tell you how many times I've been saved by colliding with Falco in mid-air.I liked Brawl's customizable controls. But it's TWO different consoles. Shouldn't we have an N64 topic and a Gamecube topic? We could ALSO use my Nintendo topic, which I;ll link to later if you need it.It's not about the consoles themselves, it's about the games on the consoles. I don't like the gravity. That sounds confusing, but it feels like a lot of Melee's characters are heavier than their Brawl counterparts. Does anyone else like Super Smash Bros. Melee's fighting engine better than Brawl's?

I liked how the physics felt much tighter, there was no tripping and it felt a little more balanced. I like Brawl better for certain reasons, but I'm hoping the next game will fix my problems with both games. Does anyone else like Super Smash Bros. Melee's fighting engine better than Brawl's?

Hoo boy, I love the gamecube. It's home to a lot of my favorite games, and is my favorite console to date.
A couple of my favorite games from the purple lunch box include: Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (While I like the first one better, both are spectacular adventures), The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (I love the sense of exploration, the art style, the overall feel of the game, and it's a lot of fun), Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (The art style is neat, it's a lot of fun to play, and is quite humorous and full of personality), Super Smash Bros. Melee (While I think Brawl is better, I still enjoy playing this, and it's also fairly nostalgic to me), Viewtiful Joe (while I haven't beaten it, it's lots of fun and has quite the sense of style), Pikmin 2 (I've only played the Wii version, but it's pretty much the same game. I love the feeling of controlling an army, and it's pretty difficult too!) and the crowning jewel for me, Tales of Symphonia. ToS is very special game to me, I've played a lot of it with my friend and enjoyed almost every minute of it. It has a very fun and addictive combat system with great multiplayer, an interesting, fun and sometimes even dark story with lots of twists, and best of all: Some of my favorite characters from any video game ever.
Oh, and I can't forget the N64! While I think it is a bit overrated, I can't deny it did gaming a huge favor and is home to classics like Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Mario Party 2 (I actually like this one a lot), Mario 64 (Which I haven't played but can still appreciate), original Super Smash Bros. and the famous line-up of games from Rare, including Banjo Kazooie (and Tooie), Goldeneye 007, Donkey Kong 64 and more!

Idk, nobody else seems to have a problem with it. I do get your point though. I think we should avoid using the Nintendo topic because this is for the specific games for the N64 and GameCube rather than for all of Nintendo's works and etc.But it's TWO different consoles. Shouldn't we have an N64 topic and a Gamecube topic? We could ALSO use my Nintendo topic, which I;ll link to later if you need it.It's not about the consoles themselves, it's about the games on the consoles. Personally I like the gravity in melee better because it gives heavier characters like Ganondorf and Bowser a better shot at handling light and fast characters like Fox and Falco. In Brawl, Fox can just dance circles around heavy characters so they are often at a disadvantage.I don't like the gravity. That sounds confusing, but it feels like a lot of Melee's characters are heavier than their Brawl counterparts. Does anyone else like Super Smash Bros. Melee's fighting engine better than Brawl's?

In 2018, I asked the Scratch Team to remove all my forum posts to protect my privacy. That's why this post is blank. Besides, I've outgrown this website, and I don't want the dumb things I said in my late tween/early teen years to follow me around for the rest of my life. This post probably wasn't anything interesting or important, anyway.

Godzilla All-Stars Melee. The most underrated Gamecube game of all TOYME.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to emit a beacon of light from my seeing orbs.
