Pikmin 3 sold about 100K copies in Japan in two days. The Wii U also sold 22K that week. I am really excited for Pikmin 3 and I want it to be a Day 1 purchase for me.

I haven't played any of the Pikmin games but I'm thinking of getting Pikmin 3.

I think the same

I have the the Wii ports of the first 2 games, and I really like them both. They're challenging but fun (like the Mega Man series) and I can't wait for 3. I'm on vacation when it comes out, but I'll get it sometime after that.

I was gonna get it today but the internet lied and said Kmart had it.

I got Pikmin 3, and I must say it is totally incredible! The graphics, for all you graphics-fanatics, are like a professional photo. Also, the gameplay is so much fun and the new types!

I tried Pikmin 1 but kept failing level 3 from what I could tell…you need to get a ship piece a day right?

I got the game! It's great! Somehow my pikmin kept leaving my squad and the sun set before I could get them back!

I played Pikmin 2 when i was 3 and I couldn't get past the fire levels.

It's an awesome game and it's such a shame that my disc didn't work anymore - but why is Pikmin 3 Wii U exclusive? Can't it be on 3DS too?

The 3DS graphics wouldn't give the full experience of the game play. Using the wii controller with the gamepad as your walkie-talkie thing is awesome! It is quote an incredible game! I don't think it's fit for the 3DS environment, and this is what Nintendo has been needing: a first party game only for Wii U. The graphics are phenominal, almost looks like a professional photograph, and the 3DS isn't built for that.

And what I love is that it is actually really hard! Nintendo games have been like pie since GCN days, but this brings back the hard, classic Nintendo game with the best graphics.

For anyone who doesn't have this game, I feel sorry for you

Pikmin has always been a console exclusive.

I just came up with the idea for a Pikmin 4 (includes spoilers for Pikmin 3).

STORY
After the events that took place on PNF-404, Koppai and Hocotate (which now uses PNF-404 as the name for the Pikmin planet) have come to an agreement. They decided to colonize. the planet, with help from the Pikmin. Each planet sends their best people for the job, which are Alph, Brittany, Captain Charlie, and Olimar because they each have experienced the planet the most. They must use the Pikmin to gather resources to build everything necessary.

GAMEPLAY
The gameplay would be the same as the previous titles, with the same control scheme as Pikmin 3. You explore 5 different areas, collecting resources and discovering new Pikmin types. It would feature 4-player simultaneous co-op (they did a working two player mission mode in Pikmin 3, so they could do a 4-player co-op). Player 1 would be Olimar, Player 2 would be Alph, Player 3 would be Charlie, and Player 4 would be Britanny. It would also feature cross platform play and an online mode with friends. What I mean with cross platform is that the game is also for the 3DS, with controls similar to the GameCube or Wii U Gamepad controls, or touch screen controls. For example, 2 people could be playing in the TV screen via Wiimote+Nunchucks/Controller Pro, while one person is playing on the gamepads screen, and another is playing on the 3DS, all in the same world together. Also, the Pikmin limit would be increased to 200 because of the 4-player mode. There is also the option to stay out at night, but I'll go on about that next section.

NEW PIKMIN
All Pikmin from previous games would return, with White and Purple Pikmin having a newly discovered Onion. The Onions would merge like they did in Pikmin 3. The new pikmin types are the Green Pikmin, and the Orange Pikmin. Green Pikmin have spikes on them, so they can climb up higher walls and stick to enemies. They are also immune to poison, but they are really slow and weak. Orange Pikmin are the same size as Purple Pikmin, but carry and weigh half as much. Pikmin can now go out at night. Night has it's own meter, like the day light meter, but instead of suns, it's moons. It's not as long as Day. If you chose to go out at night, there are tougher enemies and it's dark. When night ends, you start a fourth way through the next day. At night, Orange Pikmin can glow in the dark, providing light for the captains.

I was doing pretty bad the whole time so i started from the beginning. I'm doing much better now!

I have had a Wii U since last November, and the only games on it are Nintendo Land (Which came with it, as I got the Premium Pack) and NSMB U, because that's the best thing being sold here. Because I live in Ireland, since GAME closed it has only reopened in the UK and that was the only game shop close to me, and now the only place to buy games is rip-off Tesco. I really want Pikmin 3. A lot.
