Note that .NET only provides the standard library for C#. You don't need it to run basic code.Uh… (thinking of what to say)So is there another reason <bad link snip> can include a C# compiler?C# uses the .net framework in windows computers in which browsers are prohibited to directly utilize to prevent getting hacked. I wish It had C#.

I like codecademny, but what stinks like crazy is that they don't have tutorials on Java.

I'd love to learn all those languages, but I don't have the patience or time.I finished everything but Python. The tutorial bored me and I found the Javascript one to be the best (I'm pretty sure when Codecademy came out Javascript was the only tutorial). I joined a few months a go to learn python. I keep putting it off though.
Some day I should lock myself in a room and force myself to learn. Even though I want to…

It's hard to learn things that you're not interested in, so rather than forcing yourself to learn, create a form of interest – just grab a copy of Python and start writing a game, using tutorials and the official docs as reference.I'd love to learn all those languages, but I don't have the patience or time.I finished everything but Python. It's hard to learn something when you're not incorporating it to your own goal. You can write codes following instructions but making your very own website/game is a lot more fun.thanks for the adviceIt's hard to learn things that you're not interested in, so rather than forcing yourself to learn, create a form of interest – just grab a copy of Python and start writing a game, using tutorials and the official docs as reference.I'd love to learn all those languages, but I don't have the patience or time.I finished everything but Python. Very nice website imo
Though I think it was better some years ago, when it had a lot more freedom for those who used it for free..

Codecademy website.I tried to sign up to codecademy but it kept saying i needed to pay for some reason.
I found this website extremely helpful for learning basic programming when I had virtually nowhere else to go (and I actually was able to understand it!).
I strongly suggest this to beginners who have absolutely no experience with programming.

It used to be totally free with Pro giving you some bonus stuff. It's too bad, it really was the best free option at the time. It still has good stuff I think but not like it was. Codecademy is only good if you get pro, which I don't have
Honestly Codecademy was my launching point into real programming. It's been a long time - yeesh, nearly 10 years??? - and I've been a professional software dev for the past 3 of those years in part because of the building blocks Scratch and Codecademy gave me. I'm quitting soon to go back to school full time for cognitive science and computer science, but I've come such a long way and I wouldn't be here without all this.
Anyway, not to derail the convo, but a lot of you are young and where I used to be. I'm proud of all of you guys and what you have and will accomplish one day. Keep on keepin on, never give up, and Scratch on!
