If you are seeking lower-cost housing options, here are a few suggestions:
- MIT dorm rooms
We have 15 singles and 20 doubles reserved through MIT conference services. For online booking, http://mit.edu/conferences/www/Scratch/Scratch_dorm_info.html - Hostels
Given how collegiate Boston is, there must be inexpensive housing options. Hostelling Internatonal might be one avenue worth exploring. - Hotel Sharing
Sharing a room at a local hotel is another option. We have created a Scratch@MIT forum thread to help people find potential conference roommates. - craigslist
craigslist has temporary and vacation rentals listings. Local people list their places and sometimes there are lower-cost options there.
