Today we have the 88th edition of Wiki Wednesday for everyone!

English: Operators Blocks

Operators is one of the ten categories of Scratch blocks. They are color-coded light-green, and are used to script math equations and string handling. The category was previously titled Numbers Blocks, but was renamed in Scratch 1.4 due to new blocks that handled strings.

What is the Scratch Wiki?
The Scratch Wiki is a collaboratively-written wiki available for free that provides information about the Scratch programming language and its website, history, and phenomena surrounding it. The wiki is supported by the Scratch Team, but is primarily written by Scratchers. The Scratch Wiki is a popular source of information for scripts and tutorials, and it continues to grow as Scratchers use it as their primary source of information. This could also include advanced articles for Scratchers around the world to build, share, and see.

… “abs” used to be its own block, before being added as a dropdown option in the “() of ()” block?

Some rules that aren't mentioned or clarified in the Community Guidelines or the Terms of Use:

'The Browser Extension/Userscript Policy' (why you can't say the name of a certain browser extension that lots of Scratchers use)
'“Art theft” and our remixing policy' (why people are allowed to recolour your OCs with credit)
'Shops, Points, and Pretend Currency Systems' (why you technically aren't allowed to use follows as a prize in contests)
'“Music Sharing” Projects' (why that Imagine Dragons music project from 2021 was taken down)
“Face Reveal” Projects (why you're not allowed to share your face on Scratch, even if someone wants to draw a portrait of you)
